5 Colorado Dirt Bike Trails We Know You’ll Love

Many of our patrons are intermediate and even expert riders who are always after a new adventure. Are you one of those cyclists who could use a new trail to conquer?

If so, then check out some of our favorite bike trails in Colorado. Chances are, at least one of these five, is a trail you’ve never visited.

Colorado Trails Dirt Biking

North Divide Trail System - Colorado Springs

Also known as Woodland Park or 717, this involves three trails that run along the continental divide near Colorado Springs. This area is a big draw for experienced riders but each of the trails fits into the “beginner to intermediate” difficulty range. That means you can bring your newbie friends along with you for an exceptional riding excursion.

Taylor Park

Taylor Park not only has 40 different riding trails, but it’s an awesome spot to park and go camping. You won’t bore easily here because the trail mileage would take several days to conquer completely. If you’re really after a challenge, then we recommend the Timberline Trail or Star Trail.

Bocco Mountain - Near Wolcott

Since it’s a snowy mountain, this scenic opportunity is only open from May to November, but it’s well worth the wait. There’s at least 18 miles of trails to explore, and some of them are difficult given the tough terrain.

Bangs Canyon

Bangs Canyon is a terrific spot to alternate between riding, hiking, and climbing. This also accommodates different vehicle platforms with trails like the Third Flats ATV system. Regardless of your riding preference, there are plenty of off-roading opportunities.

Texas Creek OHV Area

Are you interested in a single-day riding trip? Then you should visit the Texas Creek OHV Area. This smaller location offers excellent trails for beginners and experts alike. In contrast with the other four locations, this desert riding area gets pretty hot in the summer. Therefore, you might tackle it in the cooler seasons.

Don’t forget that there are an almost limitless number of riding trails available in the Rocky Mountain Region.
